Horizon Showcase is looking for theatre technicians to fill a variety of roles supporting a busy programme of shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, taking place both in venues and offsite locations. The ten showcase works are diverse in terms of form, representation and scale.  They include end-on theatre and dance shows, solo performance, immersive, installed and sited work. You can see the showcase programme here.

The showcase runs from 20 – 27 August 2023 and we are looking for people to work between 19 – 27 August. Hours and requirements will vary depending on skills and experience.

We are looking for multi-skilled technicians, specialists, and general crew to assist with turnarounds. Given the varied nature of the work, we would like to hear both from seasoned technicians and from applicants with less experience and a positive can-do attitude.

These roles are offered on a freelance (self-employed) basis.

Applicants must

  • be over 18,
  • have a UK bank account
  • have the right to work within the UK
  • be based in or around Edinburgh, or already be in Edinburgh for the festivals.
  • Have a unique tax reference number

Fee: From £20/hr depending on hours and experience. 4h min call
